Hello, nice to find this site. Just a few quick lines to say Hi.
My name's Jane, a married Mum to 4 grown up(ish) kids. All still at home,along with our 3 dogs, a kitten and a hamster 
My daughter Jo, 24, after many years of being misundersood and misdiagnosed has just found out she has Asperger's. Luckily we saw one of the UK's experts, Professor Baron-Cohen, for diagnosis.
Although at first it was a relief to finally have answers and reasons for feeling so different I think now she is down again because she can't see any way it can help her life to change.
I'm looking forward to reading through posts and blogs to hear of other's experiences

Hope you & Jo find some things of use on this website - it's very extensive so don't forget to check through the backpages of threads for topics of interest. She may feel it won't help, but understanding why is a big deal & knowledge is power, so if it stops her trying to be different (someone she is not) and instead focuses on coping strategies that I think would be of help.
