Welcome to WrongPlanet!

I like Harry Potter books and films too. I think they did a fine job making movies from the books. That doesn't always work out. I'm glad they were able to keep the same actors and actresses for the whole movie series.

Personally, I loved the book series (before the 6th came out, read 1-5 repeatadly (as soon as I finished the 5th, I would start again on the first); I must have done this for at least a year. Literally, it is all I would do every day. However, I was highly disappointed in the films after the third. Up until then, they were nice, but they lost the magic and aimed for a more dramatic and hostile world; they changed their target audience and I gained no enjoyment from the films, they were tiresome to watch; whereas I could be content to sit in a room for eternity and do nothing but re-read the books over and over.
However, sadly I haven't read any of them in years.
