I thought I was just messed up and hard to like; I didn't fit well into the Asperger's profile (one of my sons does, perfectly), or any other kind of disorder I looked at. Then I saw, in the women's forum, the list of the ways women experience Asperger's, and wow! Those are my very oddities, including some that I thought I'd never see anywhere on the same list with the others.
I'm actually a definite kind of person that other people are too! It's nice to have a name now and more of an identity. Maybe I can even get to know some people, although all my adult experience says nope.
