I'm checking in from Canberra, Australia. I've been lurking these forums for a few weeks and just wanted to say hi . I, for one know how difficult it is to not have 'antennas' so WP seems to be a positive place for AS people's to speak their minds and exchange ideas. I have always found the internet to be a great place to meet like minded people and despite the recent progresions in social media (based around who you already know) it is awesome to see places like this still thriving.

A bit about myself, i am 27 years old and have struggled with everything you all are probably familiar with.

I don't understand Facebook. For one thing, how can somebody have hundreds of friends? But I think what you meant was that those sites are a way of socializing with old friends, whereas on a site like this you can have casual helpful conversations with people you never met in real life.
