Hello all, as you have no doubt have guessed I am new here and so am starting my new-ness to the site by saying a quick hello.

I have joined this site mostly due to the fact that I have only recently found out that I have aspergers. I've known that I am different to most people for as long as I can remember but never knew why or had a name for it. Now that I know I had hoped it would bring me closure however to be honest I'm having a hard time accepting it. Reading the articles on WrongPlanet has helped me already as I see that the more I read the more I realise that this is what I have and that I am not alone. I'm hoping that joining in on the forums will help me further.

Now, with that out of the way here's a bit about me. I live in Queensland, Australia and am currently studying at university. I'm female and am currently 18. My main interests are in all things related to history, computers and Tolkien. In school I tended to be one of those that lived in the library with the other 'geeks' discussing whether or not Treebeard could photosynthesise and playing flash games on the computers before quickly minimising it when a librarian wandered over too closely.
