Hi! I my 10 year old son was recently diaognosed with AS. I was surfing looking for info & found this most WONDERFUL place. I showed my son & he is thrilled at knowing there are others like him.

We always knew he was "different" and did things certain ways so as he wouldn't have a "melt down" but we never knew why. The a friend who has a niece with aspie told me to look into it. So, I did. I would never change my Meatball for nothing. (this is his nickname due to this is what i craved & ate the night before he was born). We (his father, sister and brother) accept him and love to go with his flow. Right now, we are finding that the new journey into 5th grade is causing some problems (like the reapperace of Trichotillomania (www.trich.org)) and some other unkown stresses that haven't presented themselves before.

So, now I believe I will check out more of this most awesome sight!

Meatball can be considered an insult by some, but at least your son doesn't know that yet!

Mmmmm, especially with spaghetti...your name wouldn't be spaghetti would it Meatballs Mom? That would be a terrific coincidence
