I feel a little like the odd one out because most aspiegirls are not into makeup when Its one of my special interests I love the whole transformation If i get a new piece of makeup I normally do my whole makeup try something new just to wash it off again, I have made myself look dead, a victim of domestic violence and also tried sixties and thirties style stuff.
also I have been really really into harry potter since I was eight years old, I hate the films It ruins the whole thing for me! I can't even bear to watch them because It irritates me when they change things and ruin the characters personalities.
and the games resident evil paper Mario and the Pokemon games also a big deal for me!
What about you guys? what are your obsessions?
have you ever let your obsessive behavior affect your relationships with people?

I'm interested in filmmaking and in computer programming / technology. My interests have definitely affected my relationships with other people. I've learned to manage them better as I've grown older.

My main special interest is photography. But I've also gotten obsessed with hair color (I dye my hair regularly-still on a quest for the perfect color). I'm not a big make up fan, but color is something that's always interested me. Starting when I was just a little girl, I loved crayons & drawing/coloring. Make up is somewhat of an extension of that special interest. Over the years my SIs have changed some. They've included: reading/books; Star Trek/science fiction; animals (dogs/horses mainly, but also some wild ones); unicorns/Pegasus; the dark room; learning to hand tint photographs; the digital darkroom; foreign languages; travel; & teas. Some have stuck with me for years, others have been put aside.

Welcome to WP, Naomi!

Hi there :) I'm new too.
Yes definitely, I love exPerimenting with make-up, but it's usually relates to my obsession of the moment! I had a huge obssession with a punk band and I basically became one of them, I wore my make-up in the exact way that they did and studied what they wore in very small detail, it actually inspired me to learn to play the guitar, which I am now quite good at. So that's pretty positive, but there were negative sides too, like always! My new obsession is a combo of pirates, cowboys and pre raphaelite paintings which is shown in my clothes and make-up. So yeah, I know what it's like :)

My other interests may change, but my special interests include editorial writing and reading. I also do print design. Also, I am keen to remembering historical facts and love to keep plenty of lists into my mind.

Anyway, where was I? Oh, right.

The Big D welcomes you to Wrong Planet! Enjoy your stay!

One of my obsession is drawing/painting.
But i think it actually helped somewhat with my relationships with others and getting accepted, because people actually seem to believe the myth, that "every proper artist is somewhat crazy". :D
(On the other hand, this makes me feel like an impostors of sorts, because i do not consider myself to be artistic at all. 0_o )

Hey there! Hope you like it here. We're a friendly bunch. :)

My special interests at the moment are:

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This interest is pretty new; I've only had it for about 3 weeks. But I am totally obsessed with it: I dream about the ponies almost every night and I mention them in every conversation. I also spend hours out of every day doing research on them on the computer as well as watching the show itself.

Johnny Depp and his movies - specifically Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd. I am also very much looking forward to Dark Shadows, which comes out on May 11th of next year. I have had this special interest for almost 2 years, but even though the novelty of it has worn off, I love it way too much to give it up completely.

Past special interests have included: dinosaurs, wolves, the movie Balto, the movie The Lion King, Pokemon video games, and various anime/manga series.
