Alas, I'm from Victoria in Australia, but some of my best memories are from New York.

I no longer live there, but I grew up in Buffalo as a little kid, then Rochester as a teen/early 20's
I left in 1994. Lived in Los Angeles for 12 years, now I'm in Oregon. I couldn't handle the heat & sun of so cal.
Sometimes I miss NYS. It really is a very beautiful state (aside from the winter)
Letchworth state park is my favorite park in the world.
One of the things I miss a lot about Rochester is Wegmans.
I haven't found a better supermarket anywhere else.
BTW, sterfry.... ever been to Vic & Irvs? I love their cheeseburgers. Then there's Abbots frozen custard mmmmmm...

Pink Floyd is one of the best. I once had a cat I named Floyd, after them. He was the coolest cat ever. A big fluffy, laid back coon cat.
