Hello everyone. My name is Dan. I'm 25 and I was recently diagnosed with Asperger's. I've spent nearly half of my life with a diagnosis of depression, so I'm just now getting answers to why I am the way I am. I've been looking for support groups locally, but I'm very uncomfortable around lots of people, so I came across this place!

I'm hoping I can make some new friends who I can relate to. My parents and best friend are supportive, but they really don't understand my OCD behavior or when I explain that I have terrible reading comprehension, but am still able to form proper, coherent sentences in writing (or typing in this case). As much as I'd like to go into detail about my personal Asperger's situation, I'll keep this short because I'm not sure what to expect here.
