Hello my name is Amy. I'm a 26-year-old recently diagnosed Aspie. I currently am going for a degree in chemistry and would like to one day get my PhD. I really don't blog or write stuff much because I always figured i was alone and no one would understand. I've spent my whole life knowing i was different and not being understood. In fact, I hardly understood my self until about 2 months ago when i was diagnosed. I am grateful to realize I'm not alone in dealing with Aspergers and I hope to learn from most of the others who have been dealing with this for years because I realize i have a lot of work socially to do before i can be considered a professional. Thanks for reading.

Hi. I'm new too. I didn't even know there was an "Asperger's" and thought "that's just the way I am..." It is a bit of a relief, isn't it?

It is a relief and Hi to all of you too! how did u all find out?

Hi, my name is Vadim. I am new as well.

I've also recently found out about ASP and I am 27. I have not been diagnosed yet, but I am definitely planning to see my doctor about it.

I found out in a funny way, I was playing an online game and chatting with some people over the microphone. And, one guy actually suggested I have autism, because I seemed to be not paying attention to what everyone is doing.

I also happened to study Chemistry in University, and ended it with a Bachelor's.
I only realized the importance of social skills recently, and previously have had a lot of struggle with my career by avoiding it.

How I found out is kind of a long and boring story.

Hi Amy! I am new here too. I am undiagnosed but seem to have a lot of autistic traits and if I had to guess, I would say I have Aspergers too. I definitely have very limited social skills. I am an engineer. I don't know how I made it through the interview, but I do really well in this environment because I just work by myself and don't really talk to people much. Good luck! I liked chemistry in school.
