Dear Okie,
Friendship is nice. It's also nice to have something in common with potential friends.
Do you play Traveller? Do you like Stargate? What about science-fiction in general?
Can you play a musical instrument? Which one(s)? Any preference between Clarinet, Piano, and Violin?
Do you have any interest in electronics, specifically Amateur Radio or Computer Programming?
Can you cook? Have you ever used a crock pot, stoneware, or a wok?
What languages do you speak besides English? Francais? Espanol? Filipino?
I am married. Happily. No friendship is as important.
Sincerely,
Fnord
Hello, Fnord.
I agree, It is nice to have things in common.
My dad is a big big science- fiction fan. So I've read some science- fiction books. Seen some movies. Will take recommendations.
I play piano and guitar somewhat. I can't master chords, but I can play just about anything by ear. In other words, I just pick around tunes. I love the piano. I hope some day to have a grand piano of my very own. I recently recieved my grandpa's violin. It needs new strings and probably a new bow, but I'm trying to learn that. I have never tried a clarinet but if I had the chance, I would. I love music.
I haven't ever really been informed much on electronics. I know how to run a computer and I can use powerpoint and excel. I took a class in high school that was video editing and adobe picture editing, that was pretty fun. I was in Technology Student Association in 8th and 9th grade, so I know some technology things from there. And I'm always ready to learn more!
I love cooking! I don't really use recipes though. I like to use my creativity to come up with my own ideas. And not to brag, but they turn out pretty well. I cook a lot with my grandma. She teaches me most of the techniques I know. I've been told I make some of the best hot rolls from scratch. Crock pots are fun. I tend to use a skillet for everything or sometimes make soup. I love using all fresh ingredients. It would be awesome to own a bakery someday!
I can speak a little espanol. I've had classes on it from kindergarten until junior year of highschool. But I am not fluent.
I have a boyfriend. And I agree, Your significant other should be your best friend and no one should come before them. And a child should come second.
Hope to hear from you again soon!
Abby
