I just logged into the forum for the first time. I am an educator and write about special education, and am excited at the opportunity to get to know folks in the Aspergers/autism community. I'm hoping you'll share insights that will help me help teachers better respond to our kids' needs. I love what I do and wouldn't do anything else, but I want to be the best I can.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

Anything you and your peers can do in the areas you seek to gain knowledge in would be welcomed and appreciated - at least by one person, anyway.

I'm glad there is now a growing understanding about AS that didn't exist when I was growing up. Unless they want to, at least this generation won't have to stumble through it all alone, as I had to.
Perhaps for those who follow me, there will be an alternative to a life of failed relationships, loneliness, and isolation.
