Hello everyone......
I'm Scott, founder of Greater Chattanooga Aspies. GCA's mission is to provide support opportunities to adults with high functioning Autism and Asperger Syndrome. Support opportunities include building friendships, raising awareness, sharing information and experiences, developing skills, and connecting with others in a safe and secure environment.
GCA got its start on December 31, 2010, when I was looking for an organization similar to the one I founded. Everyone I spoke with said to me, "Great concept, but we have nothing like that here. Good luck to you." So, I chose to found GCA. We just celebrated our one-year anniversary and are now beginning year two.
I am glad to be part of Wrong Planet, and look forward to discussing ideas with everyone. If anyone reading this lives in the Chattanooga, TN area, we have a group that meets monthly. You can find more information about it in the signature area at the end of this.
Best wishes to everyone, and I hope all people here finds the support they need.
