Hi!
My name is blizZAP (well, that's the name I'll use here anyway), and I'm a 24-year-old Aspie from Australia. I've been gaming for almost two decades, though I didn't receive my first console - a shiny new Nintendo 64 - until the tail end of 1997. As you may have guessed by now, I'm a fan of Nintendo in particular, and I play and enjoy almost every Nintendo franchise. I'll be honest, though...even though I enjoy the storyline and mythology, I find the Metroid series to be...let's say frustratingly challenging. I have yet to complete a Metroid game.
I do enjoy some Nintendo franchises a niche more than others. The Mario series was my first (as is the case for many Nintendo gamers), so that'll always have a special place in my heart. I also thoroughly enjoy The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Kirby, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, F-Zero and Super Smash Bros.. As for obscure games, I find the StarTropics series to be quite fun, but the one game that takes the cake is Mole Mania, a lesser-known masterpiece for the original Game Boy by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto. Oh, I hope it reaches the 3DS Virtual Console sooner-or-later.
Other interests of mine include Dungeons & Dragons, in which I am in the process of reformatting my Atonus campaign world; Transformers, specifically the G1, Beast Wars and live-action film continuities; and Power Rangers, with the current series, Power Rangers Samurai, reminding me of the good ol' days. I love the Samurai series!!
Oops, did I type that out loud? Silly me!
My favourite TV series right now is The Big Bang Theory. But if you've read my signature, you probably knew that anyway.
By the way, I first found out about Wrong Planet way back in 2005 by one of my teachers in high school, though it slipped my mind until last night. Better late than never, I suppose! The same teacher introduced me to another student in my school who also happens to be an Aspie. Since then we've become the best of friends, chatting at least once a week and playing games online with one another. After I moved to Queensland from South Australia, I met three other Aspies, two of whom are members of my roleplaying group. I had no idea so many other people were Aspies like me - before I met my friend back in 2005 I felt so isolated! If it weren't for my teacher, I'd probably not have any friends of my own right now, so for that I thank her so very much.
Well, I should wrap this up now before it forms into a wall of text. By now you have more than enough info on me to get to know me, so until we meet again, enjoy your day!
