Hello, Wrongplanet! I've been perusing these forums for about a year now, and I've decided it's time to finally become a member. I was self-diagnosed for a while, but was formally diagnosed at the Redpath Centre in Toronto in September (I wholly recommend being diagnosed there, if you can scrape together the cash). Reading Rudy Simone's Aspergirls was definitely a revelation for me on my path to diagnosis, and I finally felt I could relate to other people's experiences (which is where I felt the AS literature on males failed me).
I am currently a student of Classics, in my fourth year. I am hoping to return to school for another year for a second degree in Religious Studies. I love reading (favourites include Till We Have Faces, The Penelopiad, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn), doing different kinds of art, watching movies (such as Mary and Max, Coraline, Leaves of Grass, Labyrinth), listening to music, etc. I tend to spend a lot of time on my own, which is mostly fine. I do hope to meet other Aspies eventually.
