This forum has been recommended to me by the diagnosis people. I have recently found out that I have Asperges. I am 29 years old and in a way it has come as a relief to find out why I do and behave in the way that I do. However the frustrations in how it limits me are hard to deal with at times.

Looking forward to getting to know people and hopefully make some friends :)

Thank you. So where you all from? I'm in Buckinghamshire.

I don't have many interests but do enjoy gym, swimming, gardening. Physically I am looking fit and not too bad however mentally I do struggle with taking things the wrong way and feeling unwanted in society. :(

So can any of you relate to that?

Hi! I am Millie :)

I can completely relate to what you are talking about, with regards to taking things the wrong way and also being misinterpreted! Today I accidentally hug up on my supervisor, as she asked if someone was there. I said yes and then put the phone down...

But as much as that is often associated with a bad thing, it is also holds true for things which make us different, special, unique and our ability to think outside the NT box. All of which I believe is imperative to an evolving society.

hey Millie,

Yeah that is true, we are unique in a good way. I'm quite lucky to have a job which isn't too stressful thankfully.
It is only part time though, 3 days a week as I find working full time very draining mentally. So much thinking about what to say, how to be, not distracting myself etc can mentally wear me out.

Welcome to WP, Bucks Guy!

I sure can relate to the issues raised here. I too find my current work very stressful and am most likely leaving there in any case due to various misunderstandings.

I fit in best when I can operate independently and not have anyone looking over my shoulder. I like to run too when I'm fit, as well as writing and doing various word games such as scrabble and cryptic crosswords.

Call me Enviro! Feel free to browse our forums and find those you like best.
