I'm Wade, and I have Asperger's. I was diagnosed at age 19, and I believe my mental age is and has been locked around the early-to-mid 20s, and I don't see it changing in my lifetime. And I'm okay with that.

I've recently finished classes at my local community college and am going on to university to study Journalism in the Fall. I believe that I write very well, and that writing in general, as well as using computers, are my chosen fields of focus.

Well, I am quite tired now (it's almost 1am!), so I will cut this short for now. I will post more later if I can.

Take care, all!

Hey Wade! (It's Kati) What's up? Glad you could join the forum, it'll be nice to have someone on here who I know from real life! :) I know what you mean about being "forever mentally X years old" I'm sure I will always have a lot of the same issues, but at the same time, don't discount your ability to learn and grow just like everybody else. All I'm saying is, don't let your belief that you can't grow keep you from growing when you discover you actually can. You and I will both have challenges our whole lives, but we CAN make things better.

I was just wondering, what kind of living arrangements are you under? I'm living with my mom for the time being. I want to get back out on my own eventually and take care of my own self. I've never held a job longer than a few months though, so I doubt my capabilities. I'm returning to college in the near future so I can finish my associates in business admin. Did you go to college? I think it really does help. I'm doing it online because I can't figure out all that "on campus" stuff, tried that in 2005 an failed miserably.

Anyway, welcome to WP!
