Hello,

I am new on this forum. I discovered it by chance, but I am happy with that. I was really happy to find people talking about autism and having the same thoughts about the strange world we live in.

I have always been internally running. I did not know why. I suppose I was running from my autism.

And I always felt that I was different from usual people. I was proud of it until I realized how complicated my life would be. Now I am happy with what I am, but not really proud anymore.

I was interested in colors recently, hence the subject "Understanding colors". Previously, I spent much time on atheism and religion. And previously on manufacture of consent. I am changing special interest periodically. I feel it's quite similar to moving home.

Recently I've made an opensource software called LazPaint (you can find it on the Internet). I earn some money with IT but not much. Problem is I would need to be able to concentrate a long time, and this depends greatly on my mental state.

Hello to all again, we will probably talk on the forum in the future.

About how autism is viewed by psychanalists in France ? I already did. In fact, this sounded very familiar to me, because that's really how I feel around here. I've studied psychology for 3 years in France, so I could see the different approaches and clearly in the domain of clinic psychology, it is pure non sense. I could not believe other students were so passive about it as I was seething. Many student just don't question what authority can say.

I know you did not mean that. I am just expressing my personal feeling about France.

I like being french, but I really disapprove foreign policy of France and also much of politics. So I would not say I am happy with what my country do as a whole.

I know how you feel. I love being American but I, too, disapprove of my country's FP and politics. Sometimes I get riled (like right now) but I just try to ignore it because I have no impact—besides my vote.

Oh yes you can do things like distributing information. But it takes some time to do so.

I remember doing this, and I realized so few people were aware of what is going on. At least in France, they rely on some other to gather information and think. So, you can take this role for them, but of course you need some spare time.

Even if you don't do it, but seeing that there is no magic action, only little actions, I guess it is easier to relax. There is no guilt to feel about it, it is just a huge task. We can participate if we want, or not.

I don't think being autistic is an obstacle to this, because it is quite intellectual in fact. You can a variety of responses, that go from "what you are doing is great" to "get the hell out of my sight". So you can learn to put things into perspective.
