Hi,
I just joined today. I'm 46 and may be an Aspie, but I can't really say since I haven't been diagnosed. After reading a bit on the subject, the latest being Be Different by John Elder Robison, I'm think that I am somewhere in the spectrum. This started last year when all of us in the house watched the HBO movie about Temple Grandin, and my partner and daughter both said I was like her. I didn't quite get it until I started reading about ASD and Aspergers. My youngest brother was diagnosed with Aspergers, though he is 14 years younger, and it was a known variant during his youth.
Anyway - I thought I'd join Wrong Planet and learn more while I arrange to see a psychologist in the area soon. I don't have any friends other than my partner, and I've managed to lose the friends I had in the past by my lack of communication and reaching out.
This is longer than I intended it to be, but so it goes.
Thanks!
