Hello there. It's nice to be able to talk with people that share Asperger's Syndrome, so I hope I stay for a while. Anyway, I'll get to introducing myself. To make it easier on myself and others, I'll use a template I found on one of the sticky'd threads.
What is your first name? My name is Aaron. I don't have any nicknames, though some call me by my last name (which I shall not post here). On the internet, Jumjummju is my most common name, though most just call me Jum since no one can pronounce my name right. (Jum-jum-em-jay-yew, as in the last three letters are just said rather than pronounced.) Yes, my internet panhandle is odd, but I came up with it when I was like 6. And typing it is sorta like dancing on the keyboard. Anyways...
Age: 15. Halfway to 30. Twice as much as 7 1/2. Almost a quarter of the way to being a senior citizen.
Location: North-eastern USA.
Hobbies and Interests: I play video games a bunch, but more out of the fact that there's not much more productive I can do a lot of the time. I also listen to music a lot. I also enjoy wrestling, and science always interested me greatly.
Why are you here? 'Cuz I can be. I found this place out on Wikipedia, of all places.
When were you diagnosed? I think it was my third grade year or so. Not sure on the exact year, I just know it was my elementary school years. They figured I had Asperger's since apparently I liked to roll around on the floor making bird noises. I can distinctly remember rolling on the floor, but I'm not so sure on the bird noises. They may just have been indescribable sounds.
Favorite subjects: Science is my favorite as it's one of my interests. I've also really like English, since I always found grammar and usage real easy, and I've always loved reading. I also like math since it's more logical. History, on the other hand, bores the crap out of me since it's just remembering stuff I couldn't care less for, to be honest.
Year/Grade: Going to tenth grade after the summer.
Favorite music: Most heavy metal, and pretty much anything before the 80's, including classical. Notable bands are Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Johnny Cash, and Beethoven. (Due to the mix of metal and classical, I obviously love Metallica's album S&M, which is Symphony and Metallica, for those who don't know)
Books: None in particular since I read so many, but the Hunger Games was fun. (I read them before there was even the thought of a movie, way before they were popular. I'm such a hipster)
TV shows/Movies: Don't really use the telly much. Unless you count the fact I'm a brony. But I mostly watch MLP on Youtube anyway.
Instrument: I tried learing the snare drum, but I was never really good at it. That, and I kept losing my sticks.
Do you like sports? Watching them? No. Playing them? Yes, mostly Wrestling and Track. (Though I suck at the latter and only did the former for 3 weeks last year before I had to quit the season on account I broke my nose)
Family: I have two younger sisters. The middle child is popular in school while the youngest is a textbook example of a nerd. My mom is bipolar, diabetic, shouldn't be able to walk, yet she can, and had a 90%-ish chance to die at least twice, yet she is still kicking. My Dad isn't really noteworthy, except that he plays Disc Golf. They divorced when I was still not even a year old, however, and have joint custody.
Clothing: Usually jeans, though I'll wear sweatpants occasionally. I usually wear T-shirts with fancy decals or funny sayings, though my favorite style is a short-sleeve on top of a long-sleeve, giving a double-shirt feel.
How did you find this website? As said before, Wikipedia.
Job: Not Applicable.
Plans for the future? Career-wise I plan on going into the healthcare field. I may be an anesthesiologist, but if I can't handle residency I may just be a RN.
Any comments? Normally, on most forums, this is the part where I mention my Asperger's, but it seems kinda redundant here, doesn't it?
I also mentioned I'm a brony, if anyone cares.
There you have it. That's part of me a nutshell.
