Hi all
i read the recent Straits times news article on aspies and did some online test on rdos recommended by some of the aspies here

my score for the quiz,
Your Aspie score: 149 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 55 of 200

I try hard to be sociable but have always not done too well, failure to pick cues worsen situations. So I guess I need some help now? I heard theres a group here in Sg...any idea how to connect to them?

I have always done pretty ok in school especially math related and able to cram university course of a semester within a few days. let me know if theres any solutions available. Thanks to the anonymous member to solved my issue of biting my mouth :)

You can join the Singapore community by joining one, or maybe both of the groups below:

http://aspiering.bestoforum.net (The Spectrum, an interest-based online forum for Singaporean ASDs)

And/Or

http://groups.google.com/group/aspiering (AspieRing, a general discussion group for Singaporean ASDs)

I also hope that you can connect to these groups as soon as you can, as I joined both groups. I would like to know more about you. You can PM me by clicking on the PM bubble below my messages, or alternatively, you can email me at [email protected]. Thank you.

(And I note that you had done university work. Hmm, did you just graduate from NUS/NTU/SMU?)

I don't know if there's anyone here from Singapore lah.

(Why do Singaporeans always say that?)

Because it is a dialect we are proud of.

Here's the link to the topic with autism-related tests on this forum. At the end of the set of tests is the aspie quiz / rdos test mentioned by bababa:
WP - General Autism Discussion - Set of scientific tests related to Autism Spectrum Disorders

Hi, I'm also a fellow SG. Looking to know more people.

Your Aspie score: 79 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 116 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical

I learnt about this test here, just took it. I think I've a variant form of ASD and towards the milder side. I've got a very bad short term memory so my math is bad. Also, I can't remember names of people. And as you can see, I'm not very good at language either. Anyone has similar traits?

Your Aspie score: 132 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 76 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

hmm... some of the questions i can already foresee which area they fall under so instinctively my responses may not be accurate.
if they asked 'do you think too much before answering these questions?' i would put 'yes'.
if they asked 'do you often change your answer for this test' i would put 'yes'.
if they asked 'do you think you will answer the same if you are asked the same question again 30 minutes later.' i would put 'no'.
if they asked 'for the purpose of this test, are these 4 options enough for your response?' i would put 'no'.

sigh... this is why i dislike doing tests like these...

The Spectrum has just changed to A-CASE. The google group is quite abandoned so we are moving to the forum itself.

This is where all of the future activity will be

Yes. I hope Singaporean users can have fun here, and in A-CASE.

http://www.wrongplanet.net (Here!)

http://aspiering.bestoforum.net/ (SG's A-CASE)

I hope you'll visit and post in these two sites regularly! :)
