Thank you for reading my post.
I am 25 years old (26 later this year), male, and interested in neuro-diversity concepts. While I have had certain quirks about me and several people ask me if I was autistic or had Asperger's, I have not sought out a professional diagnosis. Years ago, I volunteered teaching math to children on the autistic spectrum for a little over a year, asked one of the special-education teachers, and she said I am too high-functioning in social situations. I brushed off my quirks as simple quirks and never pursued the thought much more. However, due to recent social strains, I have strongly considered the fact again and have researched it further. It would remarkably explain virtually all the quirks I've had since I can remember. I am currently trying to figure out the cost/benefit of having an actual professional diagnosis and will pursue this separately. Here, I would like to see if my social interactions are more successful or otherwise different than the journey thus far.
I don't want to give away too many details about myself, but I can tell you that I have a background in economics, work in finance doing analytical work, enjoy tennis/golf/fencing, and have lived all my life in the Pacific Northwest. I also enjoy some videogames, reading (although not fiction), writing (I have my ongoing universe), and browsing for conversation on a social media website called reddit. Semi-professional has typed me as being slightly more extroverted than introverted). I wouldn't want to give my name out here (because maybe I won't be able to edit my posts later) but I can post an album to my pictures (because I can control that external site). Basically protecting myself against Google.
Here I am, in pictures wearing clothes I generally don't wear: Linky. If there's anything else I should talk about here or that you might be interested about, I would appreciate your suggestions and conversation!
Thanks again.
Regards!
