I'm new to these forums, I was diagnosed when I was about 12 or so with Aspergers, depression, and social phobia. I'm a 19 year old guy, taking college classes online, and trying to find my way in life.

I don't have any friends to speak of, my family is my main social outlet besides the internet, and I thought this discussion board could help me in general. You can imagine my loneliness at times, I'm sure.

Looking forward to getting to know anyone here.

Welcome! I don't have real-life friends either (and prefer it that way) and I've really enjoyed these forums too! Good luck with your classes - what are you studying?

I'm just taking some basic gen-ed courses, hopefully so I can transfer to a real college, if I'm ready for it, which I'm not sure I am... Then again, I'm not ready for anything when I get up on any day, so it may be a while...lol

I am older then a few at 59 and am like many around my age in self diagnosing AS because it was still mostly an unknown in 50s and 60s. Some stories parralel me but only now, in the last month realizing that AS is root of difficulties and finding bio father family has many autism family probs mainly dyslexia but including Asperger which is something I did not know till sadly very recently. I know now because Bio father had to deal with it, he likely would have seen in me as he did of the children he raised. I struggled so hard with relationships i took sociology and psych classes in the early 70s at college trying to figure out what was with me but didnt dig deep enough to see AS then. A combination of multiple factors and the fun tests online and Its apparent i has AS and other issues. Think of me as what happens when you can't find help or relationships, i am a hermit though i do not want to be i just have difficulties with beginning relationships so much that i do not go out, add in physical disability of MS and my life is sad.
