Hello!
My name is Ben.
I have not been diagnosed with asperger's, but many people have independently suggested I have it, and I have many of the symptoms. I do well socially and don't have a problem reading cues in everyday life, so that confused me for a while. The first time I seriously considered it (and didn't just brush it off) was when I read an article on 'how somebody with asperger's thinks' which left me with a feeling of "so... how do OTHER people think? Because I think exactly like that!" After talking with my parents it sounds like I had much stronger symptoms when I was younger.
I'm interested in meeting people who think more similarly to me, and this seemed like a good place!
A little about myself: I'm a 22 year old college student, male, studying physics (so a reasonable number of my teachers are probably aspies). I spend most of my time reading books, and take breaks to dance around. I also enjoy folding origami and other paper crafts, like making snowflakes.
I'm really outgoing and like making jokes and talking to people while at school, but otherwise keep to myself.
I'm going to go explore, but I do want to ask what are some good threads to go to and if there is a general way of fitting in here.
