Hello everybody,

I am a 20 year old female from University of Waterloo. For a long time I didn't really think I had asperger's because I never really fit into any of the stereotypes (extreme male brain, Sheldon Cooper-like), in fact, I am just the opposite and I'd say I have an extreme female brain.

I come across as normal to most people I meet who don't seem to suspect anything other than I'm a bit quirky. I've been told my voice fluctuates a lot and have strange ways of saying things and weird obsessions (yes I know this) but people seem to see it as eccentric but not in a "bad way", or so they say.

I also have a lot of problems making friends, because I don't have anywhere near as strong a social need as most "normal" people seem to. So I'm pretty lazy and shy when it comes to making friends, I also have an extreme phobia of asking people to "hang out" or making it known that I want to become better friends with them. It's weird and hard to explain. I'm also quite fearful to approach people I used to be friends with.
