Hi folks - I recently discovered WP while reading some articles on AS. I found it right about the same time I started to realize that if I were a kid today I'd probably be diagnosed with AS. I'm 43 and when I was a kid I was just diagnosed as weird. I'm guessing there are probably a lot of people on here about my age with a similar story. Anyway, I'm going to go do some reading and with such a large community it could take a while but I hope to get to know as least some folks here. It'd be nice to get to know some people who seem to think the way I do. 43 years on the wrong planet is a long time.

Thanks for the warm welcome. There sure is a lot going on here and I'm digesting a lot.

One thing I've been wondering - is there technically a difference between "Asperger's - Undiagnosed" and "Not sure if I have it or not"? I chose the latter, because I guess that's the most honest, but I'm quite sure that a description of a typical Aspie describes me pretty accurately. I'm also not real sure I'm comfortable with saying "I have it" - seems to me that that makes it sounds more like something you "catch" than something that describes who and what you are.

I guess maybe an intro thread isn't the best place to address this, and I'm sure as I read more I'll find others who have asked the same questions. On the other hand, in my current state of N00bh00d, posting such things in specific forums (forae?) just seems like walking into a party and shouting out a question before anyone has a chance to meet you.

Anyway - happy to meet you guys - hope to get to know you.
