I am in my early 50s, and found out about my Asperger's just a few years ago. It was a huge relief to finally know why I am so different from the norm.
The different forums here cover a lot of different topics, and not just spectrum issues. Your kids might like the games forum here. There is also one for computer and electronics stuff in case you ever need any help with those things. I did once or twice, so it was nice having help readily available.
