Well,

I'm very grateful to have found this website. I'm a foreigner and not a native English speaker, so please forgive my grammar slips.

I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and all my life is the portrait of a social struggle.

I've never really fit in and I even secretly blamed my parents to bring me into this world and demanding that I adapt and live up to expectations.

Anyways, I've finally made up my mind and will seek medical help. But meanwhile, here I am. I first heard about Asperger because of a (internet) acquantaince who is a therapist, and it did click.

I'm in my 30s, manage to mantain a job, but all other aspects of my life are a mess.

All in all, I function. There are easy days, difficult days... but it's 100% granted that people who spend some ammount of time with me label me as quirky/weird/etc.

I have a great number of quirks in my personality:
- Unable/very hard to make new friends;
- Do not like changes;
- Do not tolerate physical contact most of the time;
- Total lack of empaty;
- Desire to be completly alone regularly;
- Do not tolerate people in my room, my "sanctum";
- Anxiety/depression;
- Feel like I don't belong;
- Clumsy;
- Socially akward/rude (without wanting to be so);
- Not so sure about the eye contact thing. I certainly feel uncomfortable and won't ever win a staredown, but can stand it for split seconds at a time

Here's my score on the online test:
Your Aspie score: 186 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 20 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Well, what do you think?
And this is a great, awesome place.
Greetings and well met all.

Yeah, I'm pretty good with eye contact too, actually. The only time I don't give direct eye contact is when I am talking to/arguing with someone and getting very emotional, in which case I'll stare over their shoulder or out a window if there's one available.

:mrgreen: Love it.

Welcome! You do sound like you have a lot of the classic symptoms of Asperger's.

And your English looks pretty darn good to me! I hope you like it here. :)
