Hi, I'm brand new to the forums and this website. I was just recently diagnosed with AS on the mild end of the spectrum, but I'm still processing how I feel about it. I've been struggling to find a new job for a while because I'm unhappy where I'm currently working, and I think AS is having a negative impact in the interview process for me. I work in education and have taught many students with AS, as well as other PDDs, learning and behavioral 'disabilities.' I'm working as a school counselor now, but I've yet to figure out how my own diagnosis can help me become a better counselor. I've been looking for a support group of sorts, and I'm glad to have found this website. So hi all, here I is!

Well hello,

I am new to this forum as well, but I must say that I was intrigued by your username, wondering if you were a practicing wiccan.

I also love you Avatar. My favourite time period is 1883-1929.

I hope that you find whatever it may be that you desire.

Sincere Regards,

~SD

Heh... I *just* posted about my username in the 'tell us about your username' thread, and I address the wiccan question. The short answer is: no. But I'll let you find out why. A girl's got to retain *some* sense of mystery!

Oh, I do love a good mystery! 8) Especially those that come wrapped in a female form...

Welcome to WP :) . I have also worked with autistic children and those with various special needs for around 20 years. I wish you well in finding a good support group. You may just be a better councelor than you give yourself credit for. Hope you enjoy it here.

Why, thank you. But I do believe that baby crone has taken the cake. I can look at her's all day.

Of course, I do get engulfed by images. It's just the way I am.
