My son was recently diagnosed with Aspergers. he's 12, and I think he is the coolest kid ever. I also have two girls, 4 and 8. I homeschooled my kids until this year, and so never had any problems. I put my kids in public school this year and its been very hard for my son. He can't stand the noise on the bus, and the kids at school laugh at him. he doesn't even know that they are making fun of him. Its been really difficult, so he won't be going back to school next year. I just wanted to find a place with a more positive outlook on Aspergers. So often its looked at as some kind of disease that needs to be cured. I don't think there is anything wrong with him. I want him to be able to understand the social rules so that he can hold a job when he is older. Otherwise I like him just the way he is. Thanks for letting me join, and I hope to learn a lot.
