Hello!

I was evaluated for, and diagnosed with, Asperger's about three months ago at age 37. It never would have occurred to me to seek an evaluation except that my 10-year-old son was identified as an Aspie first. I found my result quite puzzling and unsettling at the time.

Since then I have done a good bit of research and formed numerous theories about the nature of autism, which I am prone to sharing at great length with anyone who shows interest in them.


Other special interests of mine include:

Academic
Biological research (particularly genetics and signal transduction)
Human psychology and physical health
Teaching science and mathematics from primary grades to post-secondary school

BBC Sherlock
Final Fantasy VII
Death Note

Thanks, you two! I admit that I'm irrationally pleased to get replies, and the fact that they are polite cursory welcomes does not diminish this.

I look forward to interacting with everyone in a more in-depth way in the future.
