Hi ! I'm a 22-year old French man, and I wonder if I may have Asperger's since I informed myself about this condition.
Indeed, during my life, so far :
-I've always been more or less solitary. There were times, in elementary or junior high school, when I had friends, but I still stayed somewhat distant from them. After that, my only friends were people that were themselves isolated and/or bad at school, and I had very different tastes from them.
-I have a high IQ (always had an excellent national score at some kind of math competition), and good to excellent results when I was younger, but they clearly worsened now.
-I'm slightly clumsy so I'm bad at sports and especially Ping Pong, and have some fear of physical contact.
-I always had somewhat special interests : math or artificial languages for example. At age 6, I knew already a whole lot about Earth history.
-It seems like I talked lately but with a language that was somewhat more "elaborate" than average.
-I always had some mannerisms such as rubbing hands or scratching walls.
-I suffer from myopia but have an excellent earsight, and I can't sleep when it rains.
These are only examples : I had more visible traits when I was a kid, some of them are less apparent now. On the downside, I generally don't suffer from routine changes (although I still retain some odd habits by NT standards). I can understand NT humor (though I don't like all of it) and they can understand my own. I have around 34 at the ASQ test.
So do you think I may be an Aspie, even "mild" ?
