Hey,
I had my first meeting with an autism specialist today and I found this site linked to one he gave me. He confirmed what I suspected for a while. I was made fun of through all of high school and am pretty much ignored now that I am in college.

I am a pretty obsessive geek. I've loved pro sound since I was about 6, moved into piano and pipe organ for a while, and now I am studying technical theater (lighting and sound) in college. I just finished a fairly successful light design for my school's production of Urinetown the Musical. I love literature, plays, music, movies, long walks on the beach, et al...

I can't wait to talk to all of you.

~Michael

Welcome
your high school/college story (bullys/ignored) sounds a lot like mine
so i am geussing you play piano and pipe organs. I think it would be very hard to actually "move in" to one. (sorry bad joke:))

Touche! :D

Actually, I have spent a lot of time inside organs as well as playing them. I love the complexity of their workings. There is something really cool (and quite loud) about listening to a pipe organ from the inside of it...

8O so you DO go inside them. I geuss it would be pretty loud in there. I have never felt the urge to get inside one, but now for some reason i do... :D
