hello I know just how you feel I have been diagnosed with asperger's syndrome even though I do not think that I have it because I do not like that many doctors or believe them at all because I think that most doctors are corrupt because anyone who decides to waste life by going to college form medical knowledge is corrupted by the idea of money.
people are all different so just cause I act differently does not mean I have a learning disability.

i have moved this post to a new thread, because you necrobumped an old thread from 2004. the members who posted in it are no longer active, so your welcome would not be noticed. so here is your very own thread.

Welcome, Armorer.

The Hippocratic Oath, I believe, is a beautiful thing. Do all doctors follow it? Doubtful. But I suspect many do.

(That said, I'm NOT the first person to rush to a doctor with an issue, physical or psychological; I'm very private and very anxious).

I personally don't believe AS to be a "Learning Disability" in the strict sense of the phrase. Perhaps a "Social Learning Disability," but not a learning disability, per se. I feel that those with AS have the potential to learn a given topic more completely and thoroughly than "neurotypical" people, if given the opportunity.

Does that make people with AS universally better than those who are "normal?" Hardly. We're all different, that's all. No better and no worse.

We just need space to learn and grow. Maybe more than others, but we'll do our best to make up for it. Honest!

Regards and warm wishes to all.
