Hey, I've just joined these forums at the suggestion of my friend, Twitch/ Kelly, so I thought I'd drop in and say hi.

I'm 20 years old, a diagnosed aspie, and currently residing in the SF Bay area of California. I'm queer (transgender male and bi) and that's another important part about me. Although I received an AS diagnosis years ago, I don't exhibit most of the characteristics of most aspies (I am extremely social and need a great deal of social contact), although I can be perseverative, formal and pedantic in my speech and writing, and a touch dissociative. I get along well with most people on the spectrum (and off it, too!) ^_^ I love a great deal of subjects, like science, history, philosophy, art, music, writing and computers. I read a great deal of books, especially non-fiction ones, and I also am working on the second part of a novel trilogy that I am working on. (Technically, what I am working on is the THIRD part - I've only finished Book Two and I have a Book One in the back of my mind.)

I'm currently in a bit of a dilemma here, as well - I've moved out here to the Bay Area (Berkeley, to be specific) about a month ago, and I am looking for housing. Right now it's really hard, and I've been looking around Craigslist and checking out sites like couchsurfing.org for temporary housing. I'm going to have to leave where I am on Friday, and I'm rather freaked out about that. If I were able to find work, then I could have down payment for a room, but I haven't had any luck finding a job. Does anyone know anyone who's aspie-friendly in the Bay Area who'd put someone up for a little while? ^^ I'm fairly decent and easy-going as I said before. Weird request...but things are getting kind of rough right now for me. Eep.

Welcome to Werbert's Planet, Yavikins.

Our leader is Emperor Werbert I. Tinky is random. ShadesOfMe and I are vampires. Greyhelium is the random insane 1337speaker with a laziness complex. Squier is a punk rocker who uses a black hole as an avatar. Bob the Llama is a drunk chipmunk who thinks he's a llama. There's a radio in werbert's fingernail... CAR!! ! Pillows are always the answer. Cheese will be our downfall. Please don't touch the kittens. They contain no penicillin. I post a lot. I have over 66 posts per day. You must post constantly or I will go insane like I did the last time poeple stopped posting. Never psot. Psoting is the opposite of posting. Spam! I think that's everything you need to know.

Yay! Another person whose got a story! I'm 16, and I've had mine in my head since I was about 12. It's made up of five main parts and three, count 'em, THREE prologue sections, which stand alone as separate books. I haven't completed any one of them, but like you, the first part is a little fuzzy. Hop on over to the Art, Writing and Music forums and pop into the 'Aspie authors writing social interaction' to share the bits and bobs and twists and turns you've had with making your story (mine is proof-reading).

Welcome to WP!

Could someone please give this guy a place to stay? It would mean a lot to me. I'm too far away/broke to help him but I've been in a similar situation and someone from WP helped me.
