Just introducing myself and saying hello, which I will try to do without rambling too much.
I'm not good with these introduction things but here goes...
I live in the UK and in Martian years, I'm 23 years old, just sounds so much better than my real age. Pretty sure I'm an Aspie, an undiagnosed one, but after recently reading about Aspergers I thought, 'that's me' and then everything, particularly the past, started to make more sense.

Thank you for welcoming me to The Wrong Planet. :-)
SilkySifaka - Mars takes 687 days to orbit the sun. We'd all be so much younger on Mars, lol.
Cecilfienkelstien - Thanks, I found it just Googling the word 'Daydream' because I tend to do that quite a bit!

Welcome Amethyst!

Funny - one night I was disgusted with pretty much everything going on and Googled 'wrong planet' because nothing made sense to me here.

After checking out The Wrong Planet for a few nights I couldn't believe how suddenly things did make sense and cleared up what had been going on in my life.

Funny how we come across these things. Although I'd heard of Aspergers, I thought it was something that only affected people with IQ's of around 170, so there was no chance I had that one. Then a while back, one of my Facebook friends posted something about Aspergers, and I thought that's me! I Googled it further and found this place. Things really do make more sense now why I'm like I am, why I've been like I have been and so on. I think 'Wrong Planet' pretty well sums up how it feels to have Aspergers.

Thank you everyone for welcoming me to this place :-)

Welcome to WP.

Strangely enough, Amethyst was one of the user names I thought about taking, but then I looked it up and realized it came from the name of woman in Greek mythology and wasn't gender appropriate. 8O

I;m glad it found a home, and hope that you have too. :D

Amethyst,
You say in your profile info that you like the Paranormal. Very cool. I really like the ghostbuster movies. Then I found out Dan Aykroyd has diagnosed Aspergers. That he has an intense interest in the paranormal and that The Para stuff in That movie is not radom movie science talk but based on real paranormal research 8)

Haha, well true, I didn't know about the Greek mythology connection. I you've chosen another stone, Pyrite, I hate a nice piece of that. I collect crystals, semi-precious stones.

That's a bit of coincidence, I was looking at the Ghostbusters website earlier today, never visited it before. I'm interested in all kinds of paranormal topics, ghosts, reincarnation, anything really.

My cousin thinks she had an encounter with a ghost. I really like tv and movies about the paranormal. Do you like the x-files? I do. I want to play the latest ghostbusters videogame.

That's exactly what I thought! 'No way--I'm not that bright', etc. Then I kept reading--and while still undiagnosed, so much makes sense as I go along.

Welcome to WP--I'm a newbie too!

^ Ah, but if you shone a light on amethyst, wouldn't that be bright?

Poor joke over, it may not even be correct :P

Welcome :)
