I have AS AND Down Syndrome:D

Hello all. I am new here,I am 22 years old(male), although I have been viewing this site for quite some time now, I just now decided to make a profile. Like I said I have both Asperger's AND Down syndrome(strange aint it?). I was always the quiet kid in school, I can't count how many times I had others ask me "why are you so quiet?" "how come you dont talk". I also can't count how many times my parents told me to look people in the eye when talking to them, but they failed to relalize that to me... eye contact is/was very uncomfortable. Some of my "obsessions" are/where(for me they have changed over time) Geography, The Titanic, The Weather Channel/ weather in general, politics/current events, history and many more. Which brings me to the Down syndrome part. I have a big head and short arms which are some of the symptomes of DS. I actully belive that I have mosaic Down syndrome because I lack alot of other fetures of DS such as my height is 5' 8" which if you compare that to other males with DS my age it is quite tall( the average male with DS is 5' 1") plus when I had my IQ tested in t eh third grade it was 134 and the average person with DS has only roughly 50-60 I belive. I am an Atheist which I'm told is kinda typical for Aspie's but quite uncommon with those with Down syndrome. I smoke marijuana and have been doing so since the age of 18. I can drive a car, even a stick-shift;) which freaks people out when they see me because like I said I "look' like I am mentally ret*d for lack of a better term. So... yea, I'll cut it short here. just wanted to get aquanted with all you guys here. I'd love to chat with someone on here at somepoint:)

You reminded me of a guy who had down syndrome that I worked with, and his eating habits were horrible >< He munched so slowly, so largely, and so loudly, he made this sticky kind of sound when he ate. I hated it. I couldn't sit at the table he was at when he did it. I hate people who make noise when they're eating D:
Not that everyone with down syndrome have bad eating habits, it just reminded me that's all xD
