How's it going folks? I suppose I should tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a 20 year old male, living in Florida, United States. I was first diagnosed back in the mid-90s with NVLD (non-verbal learning disability) at Yale University. In 2004, I was retested at Yale and my diagnosis was changed from just NVLD to NVLD and AS.

As of now, I guess I'm doing alright. I'll be graduating from college exactly one year from now with a BA in Political Science, and I'm hopefully going to pursue a MA in Communications afterwards. I've been having bad bouts of depression and anxiety in college as a result of both academic pressure and my less than stellar social experiences (particularly my relationships with females). I've been left frustrated and devastated in some cases by NT females... their lack of understanding has pushed me to the brink in general.

I'll offer any input I can into the discussion here, and I also hope maybe some of you can help me out a bit along the way.

Hello, Mr. Sage. I'm 16 and living in NZ, but I've never tried to get into a relationship. Ever. Never ever. Never ever forever never. I guess that because I stumbled onto this site before I tried, I know it's okay if you don't make one last, in a manner of speaking. Despite this, I've managed to snag myself into one via the website, and it was totally by accident!

My plans for the future is to make my story into a book (it'll be a big one!), and then direct it's movie. I'll give you and update if anything interesting happens!

I go to Stetson University in DeLand. Not an easy place to get around with AS--it's a cliquey place with some of the most judgemental people I've ran across in my life. Thank God for the Academic Support Office, heh.

I see you live in Gainesville; do/did you go to UF?

Most universities are like that. You think you will be leaving behind the clique-mentality when you get out of high school but actually it gets worse in college.

I did go to UF for 2 semesters and absolutely hated it. I go to St. Leo University now, which has a center in Gainesville. (The main campus is near Tampa). Small class-size is a good thing.

Do you think DeLand will be eaten by Orlando?

Yeah, college has really been a horrible experience for me, I can't wait for it all to end. The fact that my school only has 2,000 kids doesn't help the clique element, either.

As for DeLand, I think it's really becoming a suburb of Orlando now more than anything. In 20 years, I wouldn't be surprised for it to be a high dollar area for Orlando commuters.
