Welcome AwesomeAspie! I'm way over 20, actually I'm over 50. You have come to the right place to make friends your own age though. Everyone here is wonderful! :D

Hello. My name's Chris, and I'm 13 years old, 14 in two months. I'm in the 7th grade. I live in Joplin, MO, and my current obsession is the Lemony Snicket series as well as the related merchandise. I have a sister and she is 10.

I've been to NY several times on my family's yearly vacation to Wells, ME. We always drive through NY, city and state.

I like chatting, especially with others that have similar interests or idiosyncrasies. I'd like to welcome you to WrongPlanet, and I hope to talk in the future.

Chris

Uh-OH Chris I am a huge fan of Lemony Snicket. I'm reading "The Grim Grotto" right now! There are only two more in the series and I have them all up to Book the Eleventh.

Before you think I am totally weird....I bought them for my grandchildren to read and I got hooked myself. All the books are cleverly written!

Why would I think you are totally weird, Tere? The books say "Ten up", and you are over ten years old, so you qualify, right? :)

I just LOVE his literary style, because he has such a large vocabulary, and he makes good jokes that look funny in your imagination, like "If you are allergic to a thing, it is best not to put that thing in your mouth, particularly if the thing is cats." Hahaha!

I have the Game Boy Advance Lemony Snicket game, but I'm stuck at the very end where Klaus is using the big ocular device to ignite the marraige certificate. The game says I am 100% finished, but I'm not.
 Grrrr!

Bye now!

Chris the part I like best is the page that Lemony dedicates to Beatrice.

I do like, as you said, how he encourages large vocabulary in young people. Now Sunny's vocabulary is something all together different!

My grandchildren love the books and we have discussions about them all the time. It's good quality time with them and encourages reading. :)
