Wow, thank you everyone for the warm welcome-back

Why do you not want to be associated with that UID? Did something bad happen to you or something?
Nearly 7 years ago, my brother bought a flight sim game that turned out to have a relatively small but very close online following. I started chatting with some of the other players for probably a couple months (and I'm still friends with a few of them) before they convinced me to try participating in one dogfight mission. It turned out to be pretty fun. After the mission was over, they were all joking around and someone brought up the fact that I needed a better nickname than "HartsSis" (my brother's callsign was Hartmann). Someone else suggested FlyGirl, which I didn't care for too much at the time, but somehow it stuck. As time passed it grew on me, but also over the next few years, the community dwindled due to better games coming out, and I eventually just stopped playing. That's part of the reason I don't want to be FlyGirl anymore; the name just no longer suits me. But what really drove me to drop the nickname was the fact that people have frequently misunderstood what "FlyGirl" meant to me, as in... um... they were thinking of something completely unrelated to aircraft

. So, after 4 years of contemplating about getting away from FlyGirl, I've finally pushed myself into making the change.
