Hi, I'm T'Ver. I've been in the aspie community for a while and have just now decided to join wrongplanet. Anyways, I'm a 19 years old female diagnosed aspie from the Seattle area of Washington. Along with asperger's, I also have OCD and bipolar disorder. (I know the OCD is a rare combo with AS, but it does happen and did happen to me. My major interests are Star Trek and crocheting. I don't know what else to say. :?

I am surprised you say OCD is rare combination with Asperger. I mean, obsessions are part of Asperger so one would expect there to be huge overlap. The reason people don't have two diagnosis at the same time is more regarding diagnosing policy: if doctor knows that a patient has Asperger they would try to avoid diagnosing OCD since OCD traits might be attributed to AS. But, if so, you must have had an "unusual doctor" as opposed to "unusual symptoms".

speaking of hot weather, i believe this is summer's last hurrah here, we are on a cooling and wetting trend now. beware of thunderstorms for the next week.
and Windtreeman, you can choose to attend the seattle squarepegs aspie group or the olympia group which holds its meetups at evergreen state college in the lounge across from the cafeteria, on the 1st and 3rd saturdays of each month, at 1PM, except for this month when we're gonna make the trip up to seattle for the seattle meetup.

I'm dying in this heat! Someone needs to take WA out of the oven. And I'm already in the Square Peg group, just super shy about going. I registered for college classes today and I felt like I was about to melt from the heat when I walked out of the registration building.

keep well-hydrated in any case. but the heat wave seems to be over for the year. thunderstorms and rain to follow. i wonder if the beach meetups will be transferred indoors if it rains.

that stuff is hard on the teeth [acidic]. better off drinking cool water leavened with some stevia or splenda with a splash of lemon. if your urine is clear you are sufficiently well-hydrated.

well, that takes the tang out of a refreshing drink, no? anyways, one can at least safely drink water with stevia/splenda. i drink apple cider/hard cider but i always take pains to rinse with listerine afterwards, 'cause dental work is expensive and i already have the equivalent of a toyota in my mouth. so no more sugar for me.
