Hi everyone, I'm new here.
I'm a University student from the UK, currently studying BA Sociology.
I've been diagnosed as having Asperger's Syndrome, Dyspraxia (medicalisation of clumsiness in my case) and Dysgraphia (medicalisation of very bad handwriting).

I guess my biggest problems are that I tend to be quite obsessive in the way I talk, and I can sometimes annoy people when I just 'switch off' or say something stupid.
And I find life in general difficult.

But anyway, not all bad news :) I'm interested in kayaking, exploring derelict buildings, arguing about religion/ politics, and video games. I'm not really the most interesting of people, but some people do get on really well with me, and I do have an ability to help people, and my career hope is to do social work or something similar.

I'm bored by sport in general, and I don't like most music, my favourite bands are Iron Maiden, Saxon, Judas Priest, Sabaton, and a few others.

Hey there. I have a desire for exploring places like that, but I can't if I'm in a suburban area. I also don't find watching sports to be all that appealing. All the money spent on that could go towards new technologies for farming/food in Africa.
Anyways, welcome to WP!

There are derelict places worth exploring everywhere- do a bit of googling/ research and you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find

I have similiar problems in conversation and it takes some practice to learn to pick up the cues people give to 'change the subject for god's sake'. My son whom I believe a borderline aspie like me has horrendous writing. Interesting that you go in for the old metal bands.

Old stuff is generally better, but I like plenty of new bands though. The only music I truly will never listen to is pop/ charts music, or stuff that sticks in my head. I avoid mainstream music like the plague.
