Hi, my name is Rachel. I joined a long time ago but am new to posting. I was treated as having aspergers for a while, and then got changed to being treated for and diagnosed with BPD, probably because I was a teenage girl at the time, and it was quite hard as I was an inpatient and didn't fit there at all. I recently was at the maudsley and diagnosed with aspergers after all. I'm still in hospital but I am being discharged soon, it gets quite lonely where I am so it will be nice to have an opportunity to talk to people :) I never know what to say and not say in intros so I will leave it at this. I love drawing and building things.

Hello and welcome to WP! I think you made a good intro though :o Sorry ahead of time if i ask too many questions or if i'm being rude, i also like to draw things, and can i ask what kind of things you like to build? Do you build things in games designed for building or do you use materials in person?

I like to draw things related to nature and landscapes and i thought of my own sort of creatures to draw, sorry that's not revelant but you said you like drawing so yeah :x So uhm what do you like to draw?

I hope you'll have a good day!

Hi Rachel!

I've had flip flopping diagnoses too. Was even told that I had BPD too. Which I didn't really seem to fit me...but what do I know. I'm not an expert. Lol.

It's great that you get discharged from hospital soon. I hate those places. Just yuck. Much better to be at home with your own bed and belongings.

Drawing cool. I dabble with paint myself.

What do you mean by build things?

Everyone I've interacted with has been friendly and understanding. So don't feel uncomfortable, say pretty much whatever you want to. If you say the wrong thing, someone will let you know, you've just got to apologise. I think we've all done that at some point. So no judgement.

Thanks :) Not a problem! I build in person, I particularly like to use wood, I usually build some kind of structure like houses, towers, imaginary buildings. I also sometimes make things which aren't anything in particular, just shapes and colours and textures that I like, like an abstract sculpture. I also have a pretty large lego collection I have carousels and little villages, I'm a fan of the technics stuff.

I draw most things but I go through phases of being fixated on one thing in particular, I draw a lot of made up landscapes with buildings, I had a year where I just drew trees with various things growing off of it (like spiders or little houses), at the moment I'm doing a lot of very intricate pictures made up of lots of patterns and smaller images, using 005 pens. It sounds like we like to draw similar things, it is relevent I like to read what other people do :)

Oh that sounds very interesting but also quite intense, i mean physically with the building :O I can't do much lifting etc, back problems and shoulder problems. Do you keep your work somewhere? It sounds very artsy really (in a good way)! I like to smooth wooden branches, when i have time, but it takes me so long to get around to just finishing one, and erhm i find it way too scary to just take a big branch with me from the forest and usually i can't carry much to begin with. I also have some lego but i lack a proper platform to build on, mine are all bended from moving years ago, wow sorry i'm rambling.

I see, my problem with drawing is really that it takes me really long, i do love drawing but i also lack concentration most of the time which results in me finishing them at a very slow rate :o And i use all kinds of pencils myself, not really sure what kind they are, i should check that, and sorry but i need to take a break now because i can't sit behind my laptop very long, i also like to read what other people say or do :) And now i feel rude for not fully finishing my reply, sorry ><
