Hello from Florida

:) hey guys, i found this website a few weeks ago in my search for more information about Aspergers. my mom and aunt a few years back both agreed (with my little cousin having it as well) watching him grow up and me grow up. they believe i have it as well. too bad not as many females get diagnosed as do males. now at this point in my life it is going to cost $400 atleast to even get to talk to someone to try and get diagnosed but i have a feeling that (since i had talked to someone once before unsuccessfully) i won't get diagnosed.

I enjoy working on and looking at cars (my mom got me started) i love playing racing video games and first person shooter video games, and making key chains out of Lanyard. i have been unemployed for a little over 3 years and still live with my mom (since it's hard to make a living if no one will hire you) I have 4 indoor cats, they are certainly life savers sometimes in this lonely life. the only real friends i have are in different places online (video games, car forums, game forums, facebook and now here look forward to making friends)

Have you tried seeing if there are any free psychiatric/diagnostic services in your area? I live in Central FLA and I know we have them here.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am new to this place too having just realised I have AS at 30 years of age. Still a bit in shock I think. Would be great to hear what it was like for you discovering that about yourself - I am finding it a little difficult to be honest but am sure I will get used to the idea in time.

Yay another Floridan. Maybe I'm one? Not born in Florida but was raised here since I was two. Hi there! I am new here, but have been reading posts on WP recently, and decided to register. I would like get to know some people on here, diagnosis or no diagnosis :) Not sure what else to say though....
