Hello.. I'm Emma, 19 years old. I was diagnosed with Asperger's (I can't spell) when I was around 6 and I actually hate having it. It affects me in small and big ways but no one notices it.. They just think I'm basically stupid 
I'm looking to make some new friends anyway? So please talk to me if you want

Hello Emma and welcome to the forum.
I never knew about Aspergers growing up but I also had a very very difficult time with what I now understand was AS. I think a lot of us have had very difficult childhoods because of it.
Anyway, we don't think you're stupid - we have had to put up with ignorance like that too so we know the drill.

Hi Emma,
You should find many your age here as it is a large group, and I think you'll find most share many of the same problems adapting to a NT (neuro-typical) world. One thing I hope... well no make that two things I hope you realize is:
1. Bad spelling has absolutely no bearing on intelligence. I am a horrendous speller, and to be honest I sometimes enjoy it. 
2. We all have that mismatch with the rest of society that can get us labeled as 'dum'. But we are anything but dum & your not either.

I don't fully know what Asperger's is but I'm sure I will find out eventually
Spelling has never been my strong point but I am sure there are many others out there with that issue..
