Hello, I'm Robert.

I've been recently diagnosed with autism, although I have suspected it for years.
The diagnosis was not specific but I assume I have Asperger's.
In the past I've tried to fit in, act normal, and became depressed because I felt I had lost who I really was.
I've read a lot about autism in the past weeks and felt like I had found my real self again.
I live in the Netherlands.
Sorry about the list, I've been trying to make it a coherent post for the past hour and failed.

I wanna heal
I wanna feel
Like I'm close to something real
I wanna find something I've wanted all along
Somewhere I belong

Hello I got told I have ASC (autistic spectrum condition) because the criteria will be changing in the future. I'm on the Asperger end of the spectrum so I do have AS, but you don't get any help in the UK when you have AS, it's better to be diagnosed on the spectrum!

Reading about them I didn't quite understand the difference anyway; the differences named seemed more based on intelligence/coping ability of the person with autism than a real difference between the disorders. The whole way they define it and diagnose it seemed full of errors to me though, assuming no empathy shown = no empathy at all and that good coping ability = not having ASC.
