I would like to meet other Aspies

Hey, I haven't been diagnosed with asperger's syndrome yet and I'm not sure that I'll be able to get a diagnosis anytime soon. I've talked to two psychiatrists about whether I have asperger's syndrome but they mainly focused on my OCD traits and didn't listen to what I was saying at all. I get frustrated trying to talk to neurotypicals about the things that I go through but they just don't understand what it's like to have asperger's syndrome unless you actually have it.

I would like to meet other people that are dealing with being unique in the world and try to make friends with people that I have more in common with. If anyone is interested in the same thing, then you should send me a message. I live in Baltimore, Maryland but don't go out at all. I have problems with sounds (it's not extremely horrible but it tends to get in the way some times). Even if I don't actually meet anyone in person, I would love to have as many aspie penpals as possible.

Hi! My name is Daniel Myers. I'm from Pickering, Ontario and I'm 18 years old. I've been diagnosed with autism/Asperger's as well as ADHD combined type. I have some friends with Asperger's but I'd really like to meet more aspies because I feel I have something in common with them and that it's part of the subculture I want to belong to, just like LGBT people have their own underground culture. Since LGBT people have such a large subculture, so should aspies. My main interests include geography, maps, demographics, demographic statistics, music, and travelling. I am currently taking the Tourism and Travel program at Centennial College in Scarborough, Ontario, and I plan to become a travel agent.
