I am new too!
Good luck with your studies! You are so lucky to have found out about Asperger's while a student. I know that you are probably doing this, but be sure to max out on the support that is given students with Asperger's before you graduate. Had I known previously, it would have been easier job-wise. Keep up the good work!
Cheers!

Thank you. Sadly, I only received DSA support in my third year because I was only formally diagnosed last year, so I could not take much advantage of support. I have had my student support officer - who is not contain an antagonistic molecule in his body - and my mentor, who is a loquacious treasure and now one of my closest friends, guiding me throughout my degree. To their unwavering credit, they continually struggled to get someone to give me the formal diagnosis, and it finally payed dividends!
Incidentally, my mentor looks and talks remarkably like an amalgamation of Oscar Wilde and Peter Cook: his face is not unlike the moon - as pale and tranquil as marble - and his words burst in nervous fragments like the flames of dying star. His nervousness is not altogether to do with anxiety; I use the word to describe him primarily to convey his 'darting playfulness', not unlike that of dragonfiles, or 'restless inspiration'. Also, he does
actually look like a cross between Oscar Wilde and Peter Cook; without the green carnations, the knee-high breeches or the lily-like demeanour of the former, but he certainly does a mean impression of the latter.
