Hey. I'm an 18 yearold female in college.
I stumbled across these forums when I was google searching things to read about developing better communication and conversartion skills. Although I am undiagnosed, I've always believed myself to have a very, very mild case of Asperger's. I have always had trouble reading body cues, and communication in general. I often find myself with nothing to say, at a loss for words, or just total confusion with how to act in certain social situations. I also have a lot of problems forming deep meaningful relationships with people, and I've always felt like I was alone in this. I feel not so estranged finding a community with people who face these same struggles. :o

Question: What makes you feel your possible AS is "very, very mild," because from what you've described, it sounds quite typical. I can't diagnose you, but what I'm saying is I've noticed a trend here where people will say things like, "oh, I have Asperger's, but it's mild," then go on to list some long winded problem or state of being that indicates it's not really all that mild but pretty standard AS.

I always say very mild, because since I am undiagnosed, I'd really hate to make any incorrect assumptions and offend anyone due to it not being as severe as I think.

If it were more severe, you'd probably be beyond Asperger's into HFA territory. What you described seems to be textbook Asperger's. Just an observation, I can't diagnose you.

Well, your opinion is valued then.
I'm just glad to know I'm not overstepping my boundaries with saying I believe I have Aspergers.
