I wonder,

How many of you consider being an aspie, a gift rather than a burden.

I consider it a part of who I am. Some aspects of the syndrome are gifts, while some aspects are burdens. However, overall, I like who I am, and taking away the aspie part would change who I am.

I hope this sort of answers your question. 8)

I agree with you Alex on this. I look at Aspie as who I am and I would not want it to be taken away from me.

I see it as a gift for me, but I could end up being a burden on other people.

I see it as neither. It's just part of who I am. Being cured now I know that I have it would be like flushing away a substantial part of who I am.

My father always talks about getting "help" as if my aspergers is something to be cured.
Truth be told, I wouldn't trade it away for all the money in the world.

and I'm sure we can all agree on the fact that it makes us who we are.
